Custom Parts for Better Radon Systems
Radon systems started out with pretty basic parts. Now the fans that create low pressure under your home’s living space and pump the radon outside are designed specifically for radon work. But most of the rest of our parts still come from the plumbing world—and for good reason! We need airtight vacuum pipes that run from below your living space all the way outside.
One area that’s ready for improvement is the transition between the round plumbing pipe and the rectangular downspout material we use to blend into your home’s exterior. Inspired by others in the radon community, I’ve started making my own custom parts. These include a built-in condensate drain, smooth round-to-rectangle transitions, and integrated anchor points. Together, they add longevity to the system and help keep the outside of your home looking sharp.
